Trine University, based in Angola, IN, will open a branch campus near Thunderbird Road and 83rd Avenue by 2013. "We are extremely excited to have a university with the reputation of Trine's join us in Peoria," said Scott Whyte, the city's Director of Economic Development Services. "The quality of the institution will be an attraction for other nationally-recognized schools to open campuses in our city."
Trine University is a private, non-denominational institution offering associate, bachelors, and master's degrees in more than 35 programs on campus, online, and at regional education centers. The school has an enrollment of 2,465 students at its Indiana campus. The university has branch campuses in Columbus, Fort Wayne, Logansport, South Bend, Indianapolis and Schererville, IN., as well as Warsaw and Sturgis, Michigan.
U.S. News and World Report and the Princeton Review rank Trine among the Midwest's best colleges in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
